Finally got off my butt and posted the best stuff from the last couple semesters in college and some logo work I did for businesses in SecondLife on deviantART. I need to take photos of my drawing pieces still but I have to set up lighting for that so I’ll put it off for a bit I am sure

I am so glad it is 2010! In all fairness 2009 wasn’t a bad year all around but the bad things will be with me for awhile. So, for me and mine, we are happy the new year is here. Here is wishing all the best for you and yours. Now let’s see if I can’t get my groove back and produce some really great graphic design this year!

I am glad I got through 2009! Classes were easy, but on the personal home front things got a tad touchy right before Xmas when we lost our baby girl at 18 weeks. So now I am trying to refocus and move on. I couldnt get all the classes I wanted but I did get a few good ones to get through another semester. My hubby is a total doll and helping me through, our 3 year old Katie helps too. Keep moving forward!

OK, I am back and going strong in the world of the living. This summer semester is filled with English Comp and Math. I swear that Math is the square root of evil. Just got through mid terms and its all downhill from here. Anyhow I will survive it and will thoroughly enjoy next semester which will be filled with as many art classes as I can cram in.

I have been really quiet here cause I have been spending all my time playing with my new baby. Yes it is true, I have a new love in my life. Not a pet, something much better. That’s right, my new iMac! I knew you would guess it!
This baby rocks. This is my first apple computer of my own. I have been using them at school, but I don’t get to really play with them there like I do with my own at home. At school I am focused solely on the graphic design work I need to get done and that is it. So I have spent the day importing my 5500+ photos (yea really and OMG iPhoto 09 rocks), considerable music library, graphic design files, installing Adobe CS4 and other software I need, and all my fonts. ~pant~
I am feeling pretty good about where I have gotten this baby, but I have a list of questions to ask in my one to one session at the apple store on Sunday.

Got a email from Apple yesterday that said my new iMac had shipped! Earlier they had said it would ship on the 17th so I am really happy about this update. My new baby will be here Tuesday the 10th, just in time for plenty of play time during spring break!
Now I just need to find a good 802.11n router. Something like the AirPort Extreme Base Station, that has a usb port for printers or external hard drives, but perhaps cheaper that $179.

Well if I were going to play guitar, it would be acoustical for sure. I have a real nice Seagull guitar in my closet just waiting on me to take lessons. But we got a spec in computer graphics to design three different guitar skins for guitar hero. One pattern themed, one logo themed, and a “splash” or “gonzo” design.
